ERCOT Versus All Others

Interest in fixed-price solutions is almost 100% for buyers and brokers in NEPOOL, NYISO and PJM.  However, to the south lives a whole other animal. Market participants in ERCOT again show a considerable appetite for risk with nearly 50% of pricing requests including market-based risk for index or flex products.
